Can't help but LOVE THEM!
Lastly....
Obviously, someone must like dogs in order to think that dachshunds are the best! I've had plenty of types of dogs throughout my life and no other dog has been as loyal and loving as the dachshunds I have now. They fit in with my family and act just like ordinary human beings. I love them and would advise anyone looking for a dog to choose this breed because they can make you smile when no one else can. They love you no matter how crazy your hair looks or how bad your breath stinks in the morning! :)

Long Hair VS. Short Hair Dachshunds
When deciding whether or not to get a long haired or a short haired dachshund, you must take into consideration the amount of time it would take for maintenance and upkeep on the dogs hair.
In my personal opinion, long haired dachshunds are much prettier to look at and more appealing than short-haired, but all of the dachshunds I have are short-haired. I don't love my dogs any less because they don't have hair and in fact it is much easier to keep them looking clean and tidy when they have shorter hair.

My Story!
I love dachshunds because I have grown up with them in my house since I was a little girl. My family started with one; his name is Emit. We soon got another puppy, and her name is Ella. They lived together with my father and not long after that we had a litter of dachshund puppies. My mother and I decided to keep two of the puppies from the litter, and we named them Lizi and Eli. Not only are they a small dog, but they are loving and loyal, which is what makes them a great family pet and the best breed of dogs out there today!
